GRACE AND LIFE CHURCH IS A FAMILY
WHERE PEOPLE ARE LOVED AND TAUGHT TO WALK WITH JESUS!
In 1926, we began serving in the Denver Westwood Neighborhood as Lowell Boulevard Church of the Nazarene. Since then, our name has changed to Denver Grace and Life Church of the Nazarene.
Our church has always been a Christ-centered community passionate about sharing God’s love, deepening faith, and making a difference in the world. We have evolved with our community to be primarily a Spanish-language congregation. However, to better support our young people, whose first language is English, our sermons and children and youth classes are bilingual. On Thursday nights, we have an English discipleship class for young adults and an adult Spanish discipleship class.
Jesus of Nazareth Compassion Ministries
On August 24, 2008, Jesus of Nazareth (JON) Compassion Ministries was created to serve as our outreach arm and minister to the hurting people of our neighborhood through compassion events. Some of our past community events include Thanksgiving banquets, summer festivals, Latin American Independence Day Celebrations, job fairs, and food giveaways. These are excellent volunteer opportunities, and we encourage you to join us in serving our community.
The Academia Mauricio Saravia
In March 2009, the Academia Mauricio Saravia (AMS) followed, with the vision of reaching children. The AMS is a seven-week after-school program that provides a snack, homework help, a one-hour class of the student’s choice, and a Bible story to kindergarten through fifth-grade children. Past courses have included cooking, painting, karate, ballet, folklore dance, kickboxing, arts and crafts, and chess, to name a few. Scores of children have come to Christ, and many families have come to the church via the AMS!
What is the Church of the Nazarene?
The Church of the Nazarene is the largest Christian denomination in the classical Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. The doctrine that distinguishes the Church of the Nazarene and other Wesleyan denominations from most other denominations is that of entire sanctification.
Nazarenes believe that God calls Christians to a life of holy living that is marked by an act of God, cleansing the heart from original sin and filling the individual with love for God and humankind. We believe in the following:
-
WE BELIEVE in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
-
WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
-
WE BELIEVE that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
-
WE BELIEVE that human beings are born with a fallen nature, and are, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.
-
WE BELIEVE that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
-
WE BELIEVE that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
WE BELIEVE that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
-
WE BELIEVE that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.

We honor the precious intrinsic value of every person God brings to us. We embrace people in their brokenness, share the Gospel with them, love them into the Christian Community, and then mentor them to serve Christ and their Denver community as transformed leaders!
What is our Vision?
Our uplifting worship services, warm and inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels at home, outreach programs that bring hope and healing to our community, and Indigenous leadership model set us apart from other ministries in the Denver Metropolitan area.
What is our Mission?
To Make Christlike Disciples in the Nations!
We are a Great Commission church making Christlike disciples in our Denver Westwood Neighborhood. We do this by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ, spreading the message of scriptural holiness, and serving:
As a Nazarene District Compassion Center that offers free community events & classes
As a children’s after-school program via the Academia Mauricio Saravia
As a Spanish church that teaches the inspired Word of God & seeks God’s transforming presence
